COACHING PHILOSOPHY

Coaching has been named the most underutilized but most effective tool for building leaders.

One-on-one work with a coach allows the business executive feedback, stimulation, and support.  More than a training seminar, coaching provides customized help, a “safe” place to brainstorm, and a person with whom executives can examine their professional life, the results of their actions, and the impact they are making on their careers.

Executives report that they find coaching a “break” from the work week that allows them help in self examination, improvement, better understanding of their leadership styles.  Coaching offers them new ideas and concepts delivered by the coach, extra reading assignments, and the give-and-take discussions between the coach and the executive.

Individuals who continue to be coached see their careers move forward faster, with fewer problems along the way.  They report better insights into relationships and problem solving.  Executives who participate in coaching for more than one year report a better ability to self monitor and impact their environment.  Finally, executives who have a coaching partner throughout their careers report lower levels of stress and anxiety and more confidence.
